My sissy is the cutest & it's her birthday today! Thanks for teaching me about life, boys, and good food.  I love you!

Eventide Oyster Co.

My sister's man has opened a new restaurant in Portland, ME. It's received awesome reviews & I'm counting the days until I can go experience it myself. Count me in for 7 days of filling my face with fresh oysters & my sissy's hand crafted cocktails. Here are some other blogs & websites that reviewed Eventide.  here on just add cheesehere on edible obsession, and right here - maine eater. I'm so very proud of them & you must go check them out if you are in the Portland area or anywhere even close- it'll be totally worth it. Their sister restaurants in the area include Hugo's for a classy splurge & Duckfat for delicious casual fare of the non-seafood variety.

Yep, I just pulled the ultimate no-no: the bathroom mirror iphone pice...but at least I didn't do the duck face! This was basically an educational photoshoot to see if I could be that "brunette-who-wears-bold-red-lips-in-the-middle-of-a-monday-afternoon-without-a-special-reason". I'm still deciding...

I think the photos look better than the real life version did. I just keep having flashbacks to years of dance recitals & nightmarish makeup. Those were the good ol' days of hard blush & sequin ensembles.

There are big changes happening over here. We have officially switched from wearing sweat pant shorts to pressed dress pants, 14 hr. days of sitting & studying to actually being on your feet, and a new beeper.

The hospital K will be at uses all electronic medical records & is 100% paper-free so there's no confusion with messy doctor's handwriting. Oh, and it doesn't kill thousands of trees...that too. The brand new hospital is considered a "village" due to all the new development being built specifically surrounding the hospital creating a mini-community. Pretty cool. There's also a Starbucks inside, what are the chances!?  Since this photo was taken at 5:45 a.m. in my dreary state, please ignore the cool pillar which I thought was a good idea.
